Fantasic, spent most of Saturday migrating BM server to newly created NW
6.5 SP7 edir 8.8.2 with all post sp7 updates.
All went great, tried VPN and... exactly same error happened, abend in
IKE

In addition my webaccess reverse proxy stopped working, now gives
webpage gives me an error when accessing it:

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

All in all I really have enough of networking

Seb

OK, SSL error was simply due to nothing being on the "end" of the
reverese proxy (the web server was not communicationg)
So after the whole migration I am in exactly the same position, which
makes me think that it was nothing to do with this "hardware" or its
setup, but probably with edirectory & nmas authentication
As I said, it all started after introducing Universal Passwords

without a coredump, we'll never find out

by the way, do you have another firewall in front of the vpn server?
something like pix?

I am happy to do anything to get it sorted, how do I go about it?

No, ADSL router with any firewall disabled (so it acts as gateway
only), nothing else

At server console type

set auto restart after abend=0

set developer option=on

Now, next abend server will go into debugger. Then type
,c

chose with no cache and compress. When finish, zip the file with the
name gonzalo-ike.zip and upload it at ftp.novell.com\incoming and let me
know when it is there
