I don't have an iTouch or iPhone to test on. I do have Safari 3.2 on my
PC (Win XP), so I thought I would see if it would work.
The key on getting SSL authentication to work with browsers has always
been to disable support for TLS 1.0 in the browser properties. To my
surprise, when I looked at the Advanced tab in the Safari properies, it
just pulled up the Windows connections setting window, and I'd already
disabled TLS support for IE there.
I tested Safari, and the SSL authentication worked fine. I tested
against BM 3.9sp1, but I don't think there is any difference in the SSL
authentication subsystem with 3.8.
If you can find a setting in the iPhone/iTouch to disable TLS support, I
think it should work.
