Default Citrix help

BM 3.9 with CJ's proxy.cfg ver 30

My finance dept is switching to a hosted product that uses the Citrix
ICA, via a web portal.

I have opened an application rule for citrix TCP port 1494 to the host
ip range. However the citrix client is not very configurable as far as
proxies go.

Has anyone else ever set up to allow the Citrix ICA out?

or have any other tips or tricks.

The companies support people had no idea what a proxy server was let
alone BM. So they are little help. All they can tell me is what ports
I need to open on my firewall, outbound to them 1494,80 and 443 and
inbound 9100 so they can print.

Default Re: Citrix help

I got this to work.

I opened the socks gateway and pointed the citrix ICA to the BM using
socks so it could find the proxy.

I also had to open port 1494 in the access rules for it to work.

****Craig I'm using your proxy.cfg ver 30 file I noticed that there
is a line for Citrix tunneling with port 1494. I don't know if it is
my boxes but as I said above I had to open port 1494 in the access
rules.

I did this on 2 boxes both BM3.9 NW65sp7.

The first was ungraded through the versions from 3.6 upto 3.9
and the other was built with 3.9

This isn't a complaint just a FYI and am posting this as info to others
that might need help. I figured it out and got it working so I'm
happy.

The tunneling is in there in case you decide to allow it with rules.
With tunneling control enabled, if you try to access a site on port 1494
(standard Citrix ICA port), through https, you will need to have the
proxy.cfg port entry or you will be blocked by proxy.

(If you have to add a filter exception for port 1494, it means you're
not using proxy then.)

Thanks for the feedback.
