Default Links are unavailable in groupwise

Right now there are 2 systems on my network that ae having problems with
any link which is sent to them. They are running windows XP sp3,
groupwise client 6.5.7 (release date 3/11/2008).

The problem is any link (ie 'WatchGuard | Powerful network protection,
unified threat management, secure remote access, and expert support'
(http://www.watchguard.com), ftp.bigprint.com, etc.) that is received or
typed in an email comes in as plain text. The emails they send out that
have links in them can be properly opened. I've tried uninstalling
groupwise, deleting the groupwise folder and then re-installing. Also
I've tried the link located in another thread and this hasn't solved the
problem either. With known good users logging inot their system the
links still come up as plain text.

I know both systems have either Firefox or IE set as their default
browsers and have tried switching the browser types.

Are there any other fixes that people know about, or will I have to
open up a ticket with novell to figure this one out?

Thanks for the help.

Eric

But why is that wrong. Display the MIME source.

In the beginning any link they were sent would be blue and underline as
most links are. The problem is this is no longer the case. We get a fair
amount of emails where clients have provided links for us to use and it
would be nice if groupwise was working properly.

I've had these users send me the "non-working" emails and I have no
problems with the links. I've sent the same problem users emails and all
they get is text, not the link they were intended. I know it's not my
groupwise because I've sent the same email to myself at another email
address, as well as the problem users.

All in all I would like to find a fix to this situation.

check registry. there's a setting for the delimiters to interpret what
makes a link. I suspect theirs is mucked up.

Thanks for the tip on checking the registry. If possible can you be a
little more specific as to where I should look in the registry? I'm
comfortable making changes in it, but I would like to have a better idea
as to where I should make this change.

thanks,
Eric

Has anyone come up with a solution? I am having the exact same issue.

Thanks

Both users had firefox and IE7. I removed firefox and then uninstalled
Groupwise. I made sure all remnants of groupwise and firefox had been
removed ( I did keep the book marks for firefox). After restarting the
system I reinstalled groupwise and checked to make sure the users could
click on links and that groupwise would actually open. Then I checked to
make sure I could enter in the links into an email. I could , so I
reinstalled firefox.

What I beleive is happening is the registry for the email links is
getting confused as to which browser to use for links. So Uninstalling
and restarting your sytem and then reinstalling your groupwise and
browser should correct this.
