I am having problem using BorderManager 3.9 SP1 downloading drivers from
hp.com with the proxy on. Below is a page to download drivers for a HP
LaserJet P4015. The problem exists no matter which printer and/or
driver I try.

Problem occurs after clicking on the download button. When the
download button is clicked, HP responds back with a 302 redirect and
redirects to ftp://ftp.hp.com/... (see below)

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/softwa...ista_PCL6.e xe

With the proxy on, I get:

*Forbidden*
You don't have permission to access
hp.com/pub/softlib/software10/COL22882/hv-60185-1/HP_LJ_P4010_P4510_32bit_2000_XP_S2003_Vista_PCL6.e xe
on this server.

With the proxy off, the file will download.

There are two things you could try. First thing

go to server console and type in filtcfg | configure TCP Filters |
Packet Forwarding Filters | ensure deny packets in filter list is not
selected | open "list of packets always permitted" |press insert |
select the appropriate interfaces | packet type "ftp" port 21 | src
address will be any address and destination address will be any
address.

To make things more secure I would select your ip address as the only
IP address with this filter. You probably do not want to open your ftp
ports for all to access.

Also,

Open up nwadmn32.exe on the bordermanager server scroll down to where
the name of the server is. Double click on it and at the bottom there
is bordermanager access rules. Create a group eg "FTPAccess" and add
yourself in this then specify the nds object and the port number.
