Default Resurrect Groupwise

Hi. I'm new to this forum and a bit sketchy on the technical details.
I had a Novell server and Groupwise running in a company I had about 6
or 7 years ago. The server still works and I want to find some old
emails from 2000. So I attached one of the original workstations.
Groupwise is still installed and still works. My Novell account is
still on the server and I remember the password and the logon works
fine. However I think that at sometime in between 2000 and now the
workstation has been used just with a Windows network and Outlook, and
so when I started up Groupwise it asked me to set up an email account.
It no longer "looks at" my old Groupwise emails. I think they are
there. There are a bunch of userxx.db files and .000 etc files in the
MAIL folder in the server. I am wondering if anyone can tell me (in
simple terms) how I can "point" Groupwise at these emails again. I
don't necessarily want to operate Groupwise as my email account
anymore. I just want to retrieve a few old emails. Is anyone able to
help me with this?

Thanks

Greg

Thanks Michael, but as I'm not a computer expert I don't really get
what you mean. I can guess I need to somehow give Groupwise the
"address" (IP? path? etc) of the postbox where the emails are, but
that's the bit I don't know how to do.

Try running grpwise.exe /ph-<pathtodirectory>.

The directory name you are looking for is the one that *contains*
directories named ofuser, ofmsg, and offiles among others

Cheers Dave

Thanks Dave - I'll give it a try.
