Default messenger for macs

Not sure if this is the right group for this message. Can't find any other though.

Am trying to get Groupwise Messenger 2 going on my Mac. Installs fine. But after putting in
user name, password, server and port it sits for a while then says it is "Unable to establish a
secure connection". The PC clients all run fine and our admin guys have no idea what the
problem is.

Any suggestions?

We are running netware 6.5 sp2
I am running OS 10.3.8 and messenger 2

Pointing at the GWM server and using port 8300 and the eDir Username
and PWD (not the GW username and PWD)

?

remote site. I have my own firewall turned off.

So this is a long piece of string :-)

We really need to do two tests, the first is one that is inside the
network to ensure that you can log into the GWM and then to confirm
that when you are outside the network, you can still connect.

I gut call is that there is no-one outside the LAN that has connected
to GMW ...

AKA Firewall issue at their end.

If you can confirm that they do have others outside, we have a number
of other plans, starting with your wireless card drivers...

I am having the same issues. I am running program release 2.0.3. I have
the server address correct and running on port 8300. It gives me the
same error "client unable to establish a secure connection". I know I am
entering the correct information because I can bring Messenger up on any
windows box on campus. What else needs to happen? I am trying to run it
from my desk on a Macbook Pro. My IP address in from our DHCP server, so
I am inside the network.
