e3015 service connection broken
Hi
NetWare 5.1 sp6. Arcserve 11. Backup up several volumes on a remote
server. The data and apps vol backup just fine but the sys vol gets the
e3015 error. I added rights for the backup ID to the volume and did a
trustee repair. Still not working.
Any clue?
Thanks
Will

Re: e3015 service connection broken
Hi Will,
E3015 is usually a communications error. On remote server, 3
connections are make, a data connection, a TSA connection and a
service connection. The 1st 2 connections log in and out for every
volume. The service connection is supposed to stay connected for the
length of the backup of a server. Sometimes the server connection is
dropped when the other 2 log out. Have you tryed reordering the bacjup
so the SYS: volume backs up 1st? Sometimes this resolves E3015.
If the error continues, you might try the NWAGENT, Using the agent
does not require a service connection. No service connection, no
E3015.

Re: e3015 service connection broken
Hi
Changed source priority and now the new last volume gets skipped. The
issue had been sys which was last which is now second and it worked.
Now data is last and it got skipped.
Any ideas?

Re: e3015 service connection broken
Hi Will,
There seems to be an unreleased patch, T24A205, that might
resolve this issue. You can only get it from CA support.
