Default VPN Client - Protected LAN hosts stop responding??

We have a fair number of customers using BM 3.8 IKE based servers and a
few still using BM 3.7 SKIP.

What myself and my colleagues have noticed, is that there does seem to
be an issue (bug) with the VPN Client (we have tried both 3.8.15 and
3.8.16) where the protected LAN hosts just stop responding if the
connection is left idle for a 'long' period of time. This is the same
for IKE and SKIP based connections and to different servers, so it
suggests the issue is at the client end??

If you reconnect the VPN Client, all is well again until it's left
idle.

I gather from my colleague that if you set-up a constant ping to a
protected host this 'improves' the situation.

Any ideas would be much appreciated..

Cheers,

Richard.

Do you have a VPN idle time disconnect feature enabled on the VPN
config on the server side? (Default is disconnect after 15 minutes of
no activity).
